We use an automated phone to make the first attempt to contact the customer. This is an attempt to prepare them for delivery so they have time to plan to be there. We will attempt to call the customer 3 times and then you to let you know the status of the item or items being delivered. We can mail out a post card when we cannot get a telephone response. EDC is committed to keeping the lines of communication open for you and your customers.
EDC has even invested in an imaging system that allows us to scan all delivery documents and attach those images to the order in the Logistics Management system. This means if a Proof of Delivery document is needed it can be retrieved and emailed easily. These are just extra measures we take to make sure our job is done to your satisfaction.
